We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Innovation Project Manager to join our team within Vistry Services, we are open to location for this position, however you will be required to travel to regional business units and sites nationally.

 

We are seeking a dynamic Technical Innovation Project Manager to lead transformative projects and help Vistry address critical industry challenges, including climate change, the growing demand for sustainable timber frame homes and modern methods of construction (MMC). The role will drive innovation to meet regulatory requirements including the Future Homes Standard.

  • HNC or Degree in Surveying, Project Manager Building or similar
  • Extensive experience working within housebuilding Industry in either a technical role, or construction role managing projects
  • Previous experience in timber frame or other MMC
  • A strong understanding of building regulations
  • A good knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Experience in project management
  • Ability to assess, analyse, communicate and present information
  • Good business sense
  • Good understanding working with regions
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Able to work under pressure, and accept criticism of work to strive for improvement

More about the Technical Innovation Project Manager role…

  • Investigating and evaluating new construction products and techniques to improve efficiency, sustainability and cost effectiveness.
  • Exploring and implementing off-site construction methods to enhance production, speed and quality.
  • Working with internal teams (design, technical, commercial) and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of innovative solutions.
  • Managing the implementation of new technologies from concept to trial completion on specific high-level projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Communicating best practice throughout Vistry.
  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks associated and the adoption of new technologies
  • Ensuring all innovations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Take a leading role in ensuring full compliance with Future Homes Standard specifications, working closely with our energy / SAP consultants.
  • Working closely with the Group Design and Technical to ensure relevant information is passed on.
  • Carryout analytical assessments for the Group on key areas associated to sustainability, including energy efficiency as-built performance, waste management, overheating and embodied carbon.
  • Assist the Group’s Sustainability team to ensure targets are being met in Technical Sustainability areas for Environmental Social Governance (ESG) Reporting.
